BIOGRAPHY
Cindy Huang, aka Yungchi Huang, is a composer and pianist whose unique blend of Chinese and American redefines music as many people have known it. Her piano playing is best described as “a sound that gives the sensations of peace and serenity”.
Since 2004 Cindy has worked on numerous compositions of transparent spatial textures which function as both concert works and film scores. She worked at the Chinese Community Choir of Upstate New York as a music assistant and orchestrator for culturally respected SATB Master Chorale made up of Taiwan/Chinese music aficionados from 2002 to 2007. Cindy performed her own compositions with the Chinese community choir at upstate N.Y. at SUNY university concert hall on piano, and also wrote a choir arrangement for the community choir to perform.
In Taipei, she attended high school which was designed for musically talented young adults and graduated with double majors in piano and clarinet. She still continues to write and perform live at a variety of culturally diverse concert halls playing both instruments. Her continued musical study at several Universities around the country has allowed her to create and perform high quality of music, exploring Renaissance to Jazz, from woodwind trio to film scoring.
She founded Cindy Huang Music in 2004 with the mission to make music that is universally appealing to Chinese, American, and worldwide audiences. Since then, Cindy has created numerous compositions of transparent spatial textures which function as both concert works and film scores. Her unique musical voice will continue to grow more powerful in the years to come.
